rice malt

What is rice malt? Is that something we should stay away from? It is in the Mrs. Mays Nut crunch snacks and I know I wasn't doing well after eating them and realized it had rice malt in it.

Hi Nikki,

It really depends on how it was made. If barley or koji is used to make it...then NO.

Thank you for your interest. Rice malt we use does not contain any barley and we only use the rice malt that is certified with gluten free.
