I just talked to Judy @ Ore Ida, she assured me that all Tater Tots are GF. She is sending me a list of GF products.
I asked about the web site, she didn't know why they wouldn't be listed. I also sent them an email via their website.
I'll post the list when I get it... _________________ Al

Hehehe
We'll see what happens. Food mfgs are in a state of flux right now. Some are getting geared up for the upcoming GF labeling, some are re-working their mfg and packaging policies/contracts [Heinz].
This could be a simple matter of a mistake when updating the website [good], or it could mean the website people have updated info that the customer service reps don't have yet [bad].
We saw a dust up over Pace and Prego products at Campbells recently. http://forums.glutenfree.com/topic7549.html
We'll see what response I get from the email. _________________ Al

Here's a PDF of Heniz GF Products.
The Rep said this was the latest list. It's dated Oct. 2008 _________________ Al

Here's the answer I got from Heinz...

Dear Al,
Thank you for visiting our web site.
The list on the Ore-Ida website is not up to date since new products have been added or changed.
The list we included in our email was last updated October 21, 2008 and includes all Heinz products.
Thanks again for contacting us. We appreciate your interest.

*Bang Bang Bang goes my head against the wall*
It took me 2 requests to get this response. The 1st request I received the text/email version of their GF list. Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for.
Obviously, there was a change in the OreIda site, otherwise I wouldn't be questioning the now absence of Tater Tots! _________________ Al

I must say I'm murky as ever! They are, they aren't, they are...they aren't? Was jonesing for crispy potato goodness, bought a package of tater tots last week and ate some because the last time I checked they were.
Color me confused. |

My take on it - they are GF. Just be sure to read the label. _________________ Al
