| Can you give me a list of some of your favorite vegetarian GF foods? Today is my first day on the diet ... I've had Silk Cultured Soy Yogurt, Quinoa pasta w/onions and garlic sauteed in olive oil and water. I have no idea what I'll have for dinner. I'm pretty experienced in shopping at health food stores so it shouldn't be a huge problem. Eating out, however, while sometimes already difficult, may be a challenge. I'm up for it, though! |

Have you tried Amy's frozen foods? They are all vegetarian. Many are gluten-free and are clearly so marked. Very tasty, too.

I'll second that -- there are frozen dinners (enchiladas, tamale pie, even a breakfast with hashbrowns, scrambled tofu, etc), and canned items like soups (the chili is GREAT). For breakfast, there are GF waffles which are also dairy free/egg free, etc.
Do you eat dairy and eggs?

We found gluten free veggie burgers made by Franklin Farms that are delicious and are usually in the produce section in a refrigerator. We use Chebe frozen sandwich buns with it and it is amazing!
We also eat a lot of soy tempeh (make sure not to buy the three grain version), which goes well with rice and quinoa.
You might also try corn pasta, as we like to alternate quinoa and corn pasta for variety.
Also, B & M's vegetarian baked beans are gluten free and a good source of protien and iron. |

The last time I was at Whole Foods they had some canned rice and bean combinations. There were 3 different combinations--one of which was Cajun. GF and vegetarian. The spices were very mild and needed to be doctored up for my palate--I like things spicy--but they were very good otherwise. They also had a nice texture--not all mushed up. I'd definitely buy them again. (Sorry, I don't remember the brand name.) _________________ The Love we withhold is the pain that we carry.
