I've done myself in this week...

As most of you know, I have a precarious relationship with food.

I drank wine last weekend. That was ok.
I ate potatoes on Sunday, and leftovers on Monday. That seemed ok.
Deperate for something different, I ate corn chips (I ate them when I was "only" GF and still eating corn regularly, as well as last week) that are supposed to be GF, with some homemade hummus on Tuesday.
That must have been the straw that broke the camel's back. Immediate anxiety, fatigue and sweats/chills.

Wednesday night - feeling ok after a long, weary day. Go to the gym. Twenty minutes on the elliptical and my heartrate is 155 (rarely breaks 145). I freak out and it shoots to 171! Sit, do yoga breathing for 20 minutes and drive home. Body is in lockdown - tense, cold, pain everywhere. Go right to bed. Wake up miserable today - anxious, nauseous...

I swear I've been glutened, though I don't see where, unless it was one hell of a CC. Anxiety, rapid heartbeat, head and body aches, fatigue, churning guts...I remember this from almost 3 years ago!

What's my point? A little of something might be ok, but put a couple more on top, or eat it twice in a short period of time, and the body rebels.

I had my regular acupuncture appt. today. He was able to quell the nausea and anxiety, thank goodness. First time I've had a food reaction since I've been having acu treatments. I'm impressed. Feeling much better now, though definitely not anywhere close to normal.

Thanks for listening. No one in my world understands, except you all here.

I'm so sorry that happened. We all know what it's like to go through the reactions, though some are worse than others. I think I'm personally overly careful for fear of a reaction. I'm glad we're here so you can vent Wink

Hope you get better soon! I bet it was the corn chips that did you in. Are they made in the same facility as something that you are allergic to?

MrP responds on things that are made in the same facility as wheat or peanuts. I avoid a product if it is in the same facility for him.
He gets the anxiety and panic attacks as well as nausea when he gets something he should not have. Then he starts with tremors all over.

Thanks guys. I bet it was the chips too. The person I talked to today didn't have very much info and there was a language barrier. Feeling better today-at least I can eat, and haven't had any panicky feelings.
