A friend is no-wheat, no-dairy. Is there a substitution for sour cream that she can use for baking?

I think a brand called Tofutti makes a dairy-free sour cream. I haven't tried it, but it was recommended by a friend. I was told there are 2 different kinds, and one of them is great, and the other one is disgusting, but supposedly most health food stores will know which is which.

She could also use yogurt made from either soy or make her own from whatever milk she uses.

I've used the Tofutti sour cream - it's okay straight up and is great in baking where you can't really taste it. Wink
