Have any of you tried new Nature's Path Whole O's? For some reason, I really miss having a round cereal like Cheerios. Perky O's and some of the other round GF cereals rate very low on the delicious scale. If these are good, I think they would make a great addition to GF party mix.

I'm not sure if they'll have the same flavor as Cheerios. They don't have any nuts, unless I'm missing an ingredient. However, anything's better than those stupid Perky-Os. Let us know how they taste!

(Pssst! Hey Nature's Path webmaster! Shrinking the browser is bad design juju. Don't touch the chrome.)

Do regular Cheerios have nuts in them? I looked at the ingredients on the GM site, and I don't see nuts listed. I'd love it if Whole O's somewhat simulated the texture of Cheerios.

I will be on the lookout for these and report back when we try them. I was never this obsessive about cereal before going GF.......

Ah, my bad. Perhaps I was thinking about Honey Nut Cheerios. It's been too long since I've had regular Cheerios...but I seem to recall them having a mild nutty flavor.

I think it could be the oats in Cheerios that make them better?!? I miss them too. I used to eat them all the time.

Hey General Mills, are you listening? I'd happily pay the extra if you could figure out a way to make Cheerios with GF oats and no wheat flour!

Last time I checked GF oats were $7 per pound. Shocked

I don't think you're missing out on much. I didn't really care for them but then I don't really like Corn Chex either so what do I know? Wink

Yes I've tried them they taste like PerkyOs. Don't waste your money. The best Cheerios substitute was CerOs they tasted exactly like Cheerios but the company went out of business last year. Luckly I have some saved but they won't last long. There are a few stray boxes and small bags of CerOs around so if you see them get them.

Interesting. I thought the Ceros were almost as nasty as Perky o's. Too beany and had almost a greasy texture in my mouth. I can't describe it.

I can't find the Whole O's anywhere anyway. This is not a good month for finding new GF things in town. Sigh. Welcome to the board, BTW.

I picked up some Whole-O's at Target. They were a it steep at $3.99 for a box now that I am spoiled by Chex grocery store prices. Very Happy They are good, but nothing like Cheerios. They look similar, but the texture is totally different. They will make an excellent addition to GF Party Mix, I think. I will buy them for that purpose, but I don't think we will eat them for breakfast cereal much.

I kind of liked the Pesky-Os. It's been a while, and there was a sample of the Apple Cinnamon in something and those were tasty imho. I don't mind their particular texture but I know some people wouldn't like it.
Just checked their website and it doesn't look like they make them anymore? Sad
