OK - I have been gluten free for 2 months now. Only had one accidental slip-up a week or so ago, but other than that I think I am doing a good job. All of my lower GI symptoms are gone. Thank goodness for that.
One thing I cannot get rid of is the feeling that someone is sitting on my chest. Not like a burning of acid reflux (I am already taking boatloads of omeprazole for that), but more of a pressure. I don't have it when I first get up in the morning, but it gets pregressively worse throughout the day. I saw the GI earlier this week, and he sort of scratched his head and mumbled something about gall bladders and ordered some bloodwork. But he's not sure about it either.
Anyone lese have the same guy sitting on their chest? How do I make him go away? He is heavy.
Thanks!

HI Colleen,
Glad to hear the gastro problems are going away. The reflux should go too with a bit more time. Mine did!! No more reflux meds!!!!
As for the guy on your chest...have you been to your regular doc? I have seen that heartattacks have that "someone sitting on your chest" feeling too.
It might be worth checking out.
Take care! _________________ Al

One other thought...sometimes severe reflux can be mistaken for a heart attack...maybe what you are feeling is related to reflux?
I'd still get it checked out. _________________ Al

Geeze, check it out soon - that definitely is a symptom of heart attack. _________________ Judy
