Has anyone tried this pizza in Rockbille Centre on Long Island? We saw it listed as one of a list of GF pizza options and went to try it out. My daughter found it delicious and the owner (Mr. Miceli) who is allergic to gluten is a lovley man who served us himself and came over to chat....

BUT - my daughter did not feel well the next day and I have to wonder how a regular pizza parlor that serves up masses of gluten to the masses can prevent cross contamination with their GF pies. I didn't grill the guy because I assumed he know what he was doing. He has MANY GF options on the menu and signs in the window, etc....

And of course my daughter might just have not felt well for other reasons...

Thoughts? Comments?

1. Were her symptoms consistent with being glutened?
2. I would call them up and ask a few more questions (the same ones you asked here). How do they prevent CC? How thorough is the staff?

So hard to say what her symptoms of being glutened are..... this is the first time in ages she said that she thought she might have been - so that tells me something. I guess I'll call them..... But I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to those calls... even after all these years.

Don't be scared. Smile If he advertises GF food he should be used to that sort of thing.

I agree, if he advertises gluten free and is supposed to be gf himself, he should be absolutely ready for any questions someone may have.
