I have heard that msg is not acceptable and that it is. Which is it??? Also can wheat in shampoo be absorbed through the skin, or is it the possibility that some may enter the mouth??? Thank you. |

msg is ok if you can tolerate soy i cant have any soy protein, which includes msg, mayo, most tuna in water, tofu--i am limited, i can have lecithin, it doesnt seem to bother me yet--------and as for shampoos--i do believe that we celiacs need to stay away from shampoos, soaps, and lotions that contain wheat, barley, and oats--you do tend to get some in your mouth and maybe your eyes--when using the lotion, it may still be on your hands and cross-contaminate your foods or get in your eyes and mouth--i personally break out in hives if i use lotion with wheat in it-- deb |

MSG made in the US is GF (from what I've read). MSG made outside (China) is usually not.
Msg is something a lot of people just plain stay away from - GF or not. _________________ Al
