Good morning!
Any Wisconsinites heading to Summerfest? I was there last night... and the New Grist was flowing on tap. Lakefront has a stand near the Miller Lite stage, and it is now priced the same as the other beers. YEAH! Their sign even says NEW GRIST- GLUTEN FREE.
I did not eat down there last night, but will probably investigate food options this weekend. They always have corn on the cob and usually potatoes, and Saz's is there... although their bbq pulled pork looks very funny in a dish, without a bun, it is good though!
Anyone else visited Summerfest in the past and had good luck with food options? _________________ "To give up enthusiam wrinkles the soul" |

| I've always wanted to go, so maybe I'll consider it next year now. I've somewhat avoided things like that which are far away from home because it takes so much early planning to have food with me. That's awesome that they have New Grist on tap. I would have never expected a GF beer to be on tap at something like Summerfest. |

Ahhhh Summerfest. Many fond memories...
For those of you not from the Midwest, this is SummerFest
We don't have any plans for getting there this year. It's good to know New Grist has a presence there. Hoist one [or 2] for me! I'd really like to know what their sales are there. Was it busy? _________________ Al

They do have fresh lemonade stands around the grounds too! Just lemons , water and sugar. And of course sodas at outrageous prices. smile.
Which band are you seeing, if you don't mind me asking? I may be there in the afternoon as well to see Left On Sunset, at the Miller Lite Oasis. I am hoping we get the Harley out too!
Al~ it was PACKED last night! They always have the fireworks on the first night, so the lake side was full of folks. We took the glider around and back during the fireworks and it was a huge crowd.
PS~ they have a Usinger's stand on the grounds too, and almost all of their sausages are gf, and delish! Plus Cold Stone and Cedar Crest ice cream! _________________ "To give up enthusiam wrinkles the soul" |

My friend is Sharon Schmidt. She's a jazz singer. She's in the Potowotomi Stage at noon. I probably won't stick around long after 1:30. _________________ Judy |
