|
|
I thought I'd start a new thread so people could throw in their open dates.
I'll get a hold of Bunky's and ask about group size, reservations, etc.
http://www.bunkyscafe.net/
Edit to add: I just sent an email...
| Quote: | Hi,
There is a group of celiacs from the midwest [WI, IL, MI] that would like to meet at Bunky's for a great gluten-free meal. I don't have any hard and fast numbers yet, but I suspect it'd be around 8 - 10 people. No dates have been decided at this point - this is all just in the planning stages. Is this something you'd be able to accommodate?
I have not been to your new building yet but looking forward to visiting real soon!
Thanks much! |

Here's their response...
| Quote: | Hello Al,
Bunky's would be more then happy to accommodate your request. As shown on our menu (bunkyscafe.net) you will find that celiac is of no inconvenience for us.... we've got you covered from beer options...entree options...all the way to dessert options! Feel free to contact me at your convenience, and we can solidify your reservation. |

My schedule is kind of a nightmare but if I'm free for whatever the date that is picked I'll be there! Road trip! _________________ Rachel |

I have a bit of a drive, and my job is horrible about getting time off, so I would prefer a Saturday (slightly later in the day) or early lunch on Sunday. I'm thinking about finding something to do in Madison and getting a hotel or something to make a weekend of it.
I'm pretty open for most weekends if I have notice. |

I'm retired So most any time works for me. I'm only 50 miles away. I'd prefer day time so I can ride my "bike", but I can drive the car if I have to. _________________ Judy |

I can't do the weekend of the 18th. We might be around next weekend though, if we don't go up north to the cottage. If these don't work, I am available the second weekend in August, the 8th. _________________ "To give up enthusiam wrinkles the soul" |

| I can do any of those days as long as it's later in the day if it's a Saturday or earlier in the day if it's a Sunday. (I have a 6 hour drive) |

The 18 and 19 would probably be better for us. Keep us posted, please

I can't do it on pretty much any dates in July, but hopefully this might happen more than once. |

The 18th and 19th no longer work for me as I just got my work schedule, and I'm scheduled to work the 18th. I could possibly still make it on the 19th.
Hopefully we will do this more than once as it seems we definitely won't be able to get everyone included at once. |

I think I died and went to heaven!
Just got back from Madison with my friends where we went to the Farmers' Market. I coerced them into having lunch at Bunky's so I could check it out. They really liked it, and I loved it. I even had soup w/o gluten. They also gave me a free GF dessert -- yum!
I asked about pizza. They don't serve it for lunch. However they would make it special for us if we called ahead for our meet-up. I'm not sure whether that means we'd need to give the specific toppings, or what. There are plenty of other items to drool over, believe me. Several pasta dishes were GF (only not their lasagna.)
At the farmers' market, I scored some cinnamon swirl bread from the Silly Yak and some linguini from RP's Pasta Co. This was a banner day for me. Hope we can all meet at Bunky's. It rocks!! _________________ Judy |
