A few weeks ago I bought 4 of the rolls for some exhorbitant price. I knew I was having a big family get-together at our house today. We picked strawberries yesterday, so shortcake was in order. I cut one of the rolls in half horizontally and spooned the strawberries and juice over it, topped it with Cool Whip, and dug in. It was delicious. No one would have realized I wasn't eating the same as they if I hadn't told them.
The rolls are really heavy if you eat them like a roll. (I tried a hot turkey sandwich on one). I think you really need something "juicy" to enjoy them. Also, half is better than a whole one. _________________ Judy |

We love Schär bread here!! They are the absolute best IMHO. They just came out with a "Landbrot" recipe that is a darker loaf and more sourdough taste.... that one is my absolute favorite right now. The Ciabatta on the other hand, is our staple hamburger bun when I am not in the mood for flax buns. _________________
