Yeah, I know it's only September. Between the limping economy and everybody's schedules beginning to fill up I wanted to get a head start. It also gives everybody plenty of time to think up/find gifts.

This post will be updated when something needs to be changed. Please keep checking back here for updates.

How it worked last year

Rules:

    - By signing up for this event you agree it's OK to send me your personal information. And I agree to not share it with anybody besides your SS.
    - No gifts over (roughly) $10. If you can't afford $10 a simple card will be fine.
    - All gifts must be related to being gluten free! Gift ideas: books, gift certificates to stores that sell GF items, funny items with GF sayings on them, etc. More ideas are in the link above.
    - No home-made food allowed! Pre-packaged, certified GF food is OK (Tinky, KK, EnviroKids, etc). This will help avoid any CC worries.
    - Home-made items (like pot holders) are perfectly fine. Just make sure they fall within the $10 limit and are related to being GF.
    - If you have any other allergies/intolerances/food issues please send that info to me as well.
    - Cut-off date for sign-ups and PMs to me is November 15th.
    - SSs will be assigned on November 17th.
    - All packages must be shipped by December 15th. This will ensure they get there by Christmas.
    - On December 16th this thread will be locked. This prevents people from talking about (and possibly spoiling) their SS gifts. On December 26th the thread will be unlocked. At that point everybody can start posting about how awesome their gift was/SS guesses/thank yous. Please don't start any other SS related threads.

Got questions?

Post them here! We'll work it out.

Sign me up! My GFSS gift was the hilight of my Chrismas morning last year. You should see how well the seeds Nan sent me are doing. I don't know which was my favorite part, the giving or the receiving. Smile

Updated the first post! I don't mind doing the assigning either. (I guess in my case it'd be DH doing the assigning.)

Bumping this back up for a few reasons:

1. The old SS thread has recently been bumped. Check out all the goodies everybody got last year.

2. The rules have been altered slightly. I'm going to be the organizer this year. DH has agreed to draw names/assign SSs. I've also added a couple of dates. The cutoff date for sign-ups is now November 15th. SSs will be assigned on November 17th. You'll get a PM with your SS's name, address, any other food issues, etc. This gives everybody 1 month to find and mail presents. Remember: everything needs to be mailed by December 15th. Which brings us to...

3. We could use more people! Simply post here if you'd like to participate.
