Hi everyone,

I applied for life insurance several weeks ago and I just found out that the underwriter will not insure me until I have a new panel of blood work done. I was diagnosed back in May and went GF immediately upon my diagnosis. How long would it typically take before the blood work would be normal, or will it ever be normal again? Anyone know??

Thanks guys!
Chris

Hi Chris,

Usually followup blood work is done 6 and/or 12 months, just to make sure the diet is working.

If the diet is working, the antibody levels will return to normal levels. As for a time frame...it might be different for everyone.

I hope this helps!
