| My gastroenterologist says that my blood tests are overwhelmingly indicative of celiac disease but wants me to have the biopsy done. How accurate are the blood tests alone? |

Hi KC,
Welcome to the board! If the blood work is positive for CD, it's pretty likely you have CD. There's a much higher chance of having false negative blood work than a false positive.
However, some auto immune diseases will cause false positives in some of the celiac blood work.

Do you know which tests were run?
Please let us know how the biopsy testing goes. Are you nervous about the procedure? _________________ Al
