In order to upload your avatar, click on the Profile link at the top of the screen. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and there should be a place where you can link to your avatar. You'll use the same link (URL) that you do now if you have a picture as part of your signature, except you'll omit the [ URL] tags. So you'll paste something like this (no spaces):

This is to see if it worked. I built an avatar in Yahoo and pasted the URL but am not certain if it is a go.

Shiloh, if you want to find out if it works do this:

1. Hit the Submit button at the bottom of your profile.
2. Find one of your posts and check for the image.

OR

2. Go back into your profile. Your avatar should show up at the bottom near the Submit button.

Make sure your avatar is uploaded somewhere, not just sitting on your hard drive.

Quasi newbie question...

I'm having trouble with the avatar feature. It looks like everyone's avatars are uploaded, but it doesn't seem to like the URLs I'm giving it. Also, does it upload the image from the URL or just link to it?

(I've had avatars break from linking before, which is why I usually upload mine, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

It just links to the URL. What URL are you trying to give it?

edit: Fixed it!

I've got photobucket and I resized the image to 66x80, but when I put in the url it comes out HUGE

what am I doing wrong?
