Hi There -

Off we go on another trip.

Does anyone have prior experience in the DR? We will be near Santo Domingo. It sounds like there is lots of good fish and many starches that have no gluten - corn, potatoes, bananas, plantains, various roots....

Also we found a web site called www.freetranslation.com

You can write in anything you want and have it translated to another language we did English to Spanish and got:

I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat any food with gluten which is food made from wheat, rye, oats, barley and malt. I cannot have food cooked with soy sauce, MSG or fried with oil used to fry other food covered with flour. I get very sick and may need to go to the emergency room at the hospital.
I can eat rice and corn products, all meats, vegetables and fruits as long as they are not cooked with wheat flour, other wheat products, rye, oats barley and malt.
Thank you for helping me not to get sick by making me the food that I can eat.

Or maybe you can visit this web page (the official website of celiacs in Spain) in which you have translated into 36 languages
