| I would like to start a new thread. As Flu/Cold season approaches many of us will be having to fill prescription meds for antibiotics. I thought it might be helpful if those of us who have checked our meds can post the company and medication you KNOW to be gluten free. I always think you should double check information-- but it would be great to have an idea if Pfizers Amoxicillian is Gf when you hand over the prescription to the pharmacist. I have specifically asked that my presciptions be filled with Alpharma meds because of the most remarkable customer service ever given. At 7 pm (california) I called the 800 #(Florida) the pharmacist gave me, a security person answered, confused and helpless, but took my name and number. I thought that was the end... Half hour later I recieved a call asking me to wait on the line while another party joined the conversation. The security gaurd came on explaining he had contacted someone who might be able to help me, a woman's voice started in," Hello this is ---- CEO of Alpharma branch ?XYZ?......my dinner is just wrapping up ..what did you need to know?" I explained my need to know if the med was safe. At 10 pm my time I got a call back saying it was safe. I could not believe how both people went out of thier way at such a late hour to make sure I could give my daughter her antibiotic. Amazing, but true. |
