Our two kids (4 & 5yrs) have been recently diagnosed. I am expecting Baby #3 and must go on bed rest. To try and help hubby out with this new diet I would really like to enlist the services of a home delivery meal service. I have found 2 on line but both are a little gourmet for us. Does anyone have any suggestions or is this a market not yet explored and perhaps I have new direction after delivery of #3? Thank you!!!

I wish I knew where you lived and I would cook for you, almost 5 years ago I was flat on my back in bed for 12 weeks to get my third child here safely. It was tough on my husband also, since he had to do the cooking cleaning, and take care of two small kids. Well, best of luck, and I hope you find somebody to help you guys out. BETTYSUE

Me too, I would love to help with your meals. About a year ago I was going through a rough time and was really sick and couldn't cook. I have a wonderful church and finally a gal who I didn't even know came and helped. We made out several menu. Things such as veg., salads were left for hubby to do. I gave her my flour and other things needed to use in food prepreations. some of the gals, again I didn't know, came and used my kitchen to do the cooking. Do you have a support of people who would be will to do something like this. People can't help if you don't tell them you need help. This was hard for me to do. Let your friends know, wouldn't you do the same?
Be praying for you

Betty Sue and dkad- thank you so much for your kind thoughts and well wishes. Unfortunatetey, we are kind of in a pickle- we just moved here and we are 4 hours from home. We haven't quite gotten out into the community yet - hence the delivery service inquiry. This new celiac thing has kind of come at the least convenient time (because you know there IS a convenient time for this sort of diet change Wink ). We have done a lot of reading and learning and I know this too shall pass. We just have to ride it out now. It will get easier or at least more familiar. We are thrilled to find out how to help our sons grow and flourish and are excited to see the results of their new eating habits.
And... I must say - even though your responses didn't offer information they both offered compassion- and many times that is is as equally important- I really needed that too- kinda lonely this far from home. Thank you so much. And I am glad that you are both on your feet and doing well now. Take care- Have a wonderful Holiday. Keep warm (in Illinois that is a nice thing to say right about now).
