Some of my husband's co workers invited us out for drinks. what Kind of mixed drink can I have? I am not in the habit of drinking much so I have no idea what to ask for. i hope someone can help me out here, cause we were invited on short notice and we have to be there around 6:30 mountain time. Thank you so much to whoever helps me out.

Just about all wine is. I don't have any documents at my finger tips that explains why some are not. I'll have to find it.
Wine coolers you really have to watch tho. _________________ Al

| Also, if you like vodka, Bambu Rum is distilled from Molasses, and so is GF (correct me if I'm wrong). Bambu is a really high quality white rum that is very light and dry, and so it's an awesome vodak substitute. In fact, I like it better than vodka! |

| Bambu is hard to find. It's pretty easy to find in New York City, but otherwise you should order it from Astor Wines at www.astorwines.com. They will deliver to most locations in the US. |

I did a little research into this one.
Wine coolers, smirnoff ice, and most of the bottles or bags of fruity booze stuff are essentially malt liquor. And a no-no. (though a study posted in Celiac.com is questioning whether malt flavoring actually contains gluten i don't know the same applies to malted liquor.
Wine, most booze are safe. Either they don't contain gluten or in the case of vodka, are distilled so no protien's of gluten survive (the definitions of distillation prevents it.)
However... there are a few exceptions, some scotches add a 'mash' to the distilled product which isn't good for celiacs.
Mostly, wine, vodka, gin, most liquors are safe... even if they were made from wheat. |
