With baking, I follow recipes or use a mix. With cooking, I use recipes as a jumping off point and go from there. We have a TON of cook books, but rarely use them.

I got mine last week and my husband really wanted to try the cookies. They were pretty good - I think I needed to cook them longer. They were awesome out of the oven, but crumbly after they cooled.
