| i have just read some disturbing news that kens dressings, hesheys chocolates, dorito products and mylanta now have gluten. does anyone know anything about any of these products? it is very disturbing to think you are eating right and then companys change ingredients and and cause those of us with sensitivities who have already bought these products may have to discard them. |

I do know that the Nacho Cheese doritos has gluten but not the cool ranch or the plain. Don't know about the other flavors. Frito Lay is one of the companies that is really good about labeling their products that contain wheat products. They also have a complete list on their website at www.fritolay.com.
Last I checked, Hersheys was pretty clear in their labeling as well. I sent an email to Ken's trying to get gluten info on their products, but they never responded to me. Guess they don't want my money.
I have has some experiences lately on things that used to be gluten free that now aren't. I am so thankful that I people beat it into my head to read the label EVERY TIME I think about buying a product. |

I have always heard that Ken's have gluten, ditto with doritos in the red bag. Am allergic to chocolate, but have read that Ghiradellis (sp) puts a warning that their chocolate may have gluten. It's tough, but hang in their! I have the Clan Thompson list on my palm and take it shopping with me. It helps to look up the iffy ones. _________________ gf since 3/27/04 |

The list that Shilo talks about is available for a fee.
Here is the Clan Thompson link:

Hi Shi, it's good to "see" you again
How do the Clan lists differ from the Chicago list or the Delphi lists? Are they more extensive? I could see that having the list in a palm would be VERY handy!! _________________ Al

They are great. You can query by types of food, for example, if I type in cereals, it will give me a list of gf cereal. Or, I can type in Mesa Sunrise and it will go straight to there, give me the info and the date it was verified. I tried putting the Delphi lists in my palm but couldn't figure out how to go to one specific thing, as I can on the Thompson list. Also, she does this as a business and is diligent about calling and recalling companies to make sure their ingredients haven't changed. She has also put in restaurant menus which help too!
It was a Christmas present last year and one of my favorites! Now, if I could just get him to get me a color palm so I could download bejeweled..... _________________ gf since 3/27/04 |

Are those Clan Thompson lists good for Canada too, or just the states?

You would have to go on their website and pose the question to them. _________________ gf since 3/27/04 |

I was looking at a Ghirardelli bar last night with longing but yes, it does say on the back "may contain grain glutens". Nice of them, really. _________________ Stephanie |

Hi Linda,
I am sorry, it's only for the US
