Cinnamon Cookies
As you all know, tortilla flour or "masa" is made from ground corn whose hull is removed with lime. I'm pretty sure you can find it at any hispanic food market. Anyway, here is the recipe and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did. They resemble peanut butter cookies which I haven't tried putting in but I am sure you can add on anything else you wish.
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons ground cinnnamon
4 cups tortilla flour
Mix the milk with the egg yolks and the cinnamon. Add the tortilla flour and knead until you get a soft dough. If it feels crumbly you can add warm milk or water as neccesary. Form balls the size of a walnut and flaten with a fork in a criss-cross fashion. Bake in a 150C oven for 15 minutes or until bottom is lightly browned. Enjoy!
Let me know what you think! |
