Hi,
I was just diagnosed with celiac disease and am just learning how to tell if foods are wheat free, gluten free, and barley free and oat free and rye free . I found my daily 81 mg asprin is wheat and gluten free, but made in a factory that also has gluten products. My multi vitamin contains gluten. My wheat free gluten free horse chestnut seed extract contains oats. Does anyone know where I can find these products that are safe without calling all manufactures in the United States . Any other helpful tip(s) in finding celiac safe items would be appreciated.
thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Welcome to the board!
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Now you can get on your way to a better, healthier you.
If you haven't done so already, you might check out Our Thread on GF Diet Boot Camp. This covers lots of basics. It has GF mainstream food lists, Safe & Forbidden food ingredients. Lots of stuff for those starting out.
You will find that calling the companies yourself is the best way to find out. That way you get 1st hand information!
Good luck in your GF Journey!! Make yourself at home... _________________ Al

jim,
get on line and type in CSA celiac sprue association....you can get their GF product guide listing sent to you for about $30..It comes in a binder, with yearly updates to purchase and you get all kinds of GF (Gluten Free) products from foods...to vitamins...hair products... tooth paste...wines etc. It's a great resource.
Thanks TJ |
