I have been gf for about 5 months except Dec. when G.i. had me go off for 2 weekes to do biopsy> Alot of stomach problems feels beeter and a little of the foggyness went away. But something else is making me feal worse. So I have been rotating my food, taking out corn, and potatoes and cut down on milk and eggs, thought they might be the problem. This last week, Then last night had to have mexican food at a restaurant that uses mesa not flour. By the time I was halfway done eating my corn chips and corn and cheese enchilada I was scrating my a$$ of, no rash though, felt like this must be what l.s.d. feals like(mentally) half hour later my old friend diaria came back to visit me and by night time the p.n. was twice as bad as its been. Does this sound like corn allergies to anyone????????
Thanks Carey

Carey,

The one thing I have learned about corn allergy... symptoms vary greatly.
This could very well be due to a reaction from corn, generally, what I do with Matthew, is wait until his "reaction" goes away, usually a week or so, then try it again, If we have the same outcome.. well, then we pretty much know. I know this is a pretty hard way to go, but it's helped us pinpoint allergies and such.

Good Luck,

We have cut corn almost out of our diet completely. I still buy ketchup that has corn syrup........it doesn't seem to bother us, but whole corn will cause the big D.

We found out that when the chips at the Mexican place were all corn and we weren't having a problem that it was the SALSA they had on the table. It contained wheat. (It looked freshly made because it was so thin, but DD went and asked and it contained wheat. Many of the things that we thought were safe there contained wheat, so we eat taco meat at home now.)

Every now and then, I will have popcorn and it doesn't seem to send me into fits with the D, but I am hoping that if I stay off of corn and heal that I can try again in the future.
