everyone who is eating at McDonalds has to really watch what you are eating. I went to McDonalds 3 days ago got a small fries, just a grilled chiken patty & I got glutened. I spent the last 3 days in the hospital from it. also if you are trying to quit smoking do notuse any of the patches some of them have gluten in them. Like nicadrem cq they gave me one in the hospital & it made my systoms worse. I have welts on my arm and back from it. Crying or Very sad . they thought I had C-Diff again but it wasn't that. it was all the gluten in my system. please please be very careful. I'm going to e-mail McDonald's to let them know what has happened.

Al I know u like McDonalds but be careful

Hi Maria,

Looking at their current GF menu...I don't see any chicken on it. I'm thinking it might not be the fries...but the chicken itself. To be fair...I do not know if they changed the labeling on the grilled chicken like they did with the fries.

http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.gluten.index.html

Here's the ingreds:
Grilled Chicken Breast Filet:
Boneless, skinless chicken breast filets with rib meat, colored with paprika and caramel color added. Contains: Up to 20% of a solution of water, seasoning [salt, sugar, modified corn starch, maltodextrin, spices, dextrose, autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed (corn gluten, soy, wheat gluten) proteins, garlic powder, paprika, chicken fat, chicken broth, natural flavors (animal and vegetable source), caramel color, polysorbate 80, xanthan gum, onion powder, extractives of paprika], modified food starch, sodium phosphates. Grilled with liquid margarine. Contains wheat and soybean ingredients.

It's not that I like or dislike McD's - I feel they are getting skewered on this unjustly. I am waiting before I pass final judgment.

Eating out is risky ANY place.

More discussion on McDonald's fries

My son has been eating at McDonalds for years and has not had any problems. He usually gets either a single or double cheeseburger without the bun, fries and sometimes a shake. We have never experienced any problems with those items and have eaten at many different McDonalds.

Please check TEC's post titled "McDonald's Has Spoken" for McD's report on allergen testing.

Hey...wasn't that a Cat Stevens tune???
