I live in Seattle WA. The WOW baking company opened up here a few yrs ago and started making gluten free cookies with organic ingredients. I just tried one of their ginger molasses cookies and OH MY GOD!! they are the best ever!! They are thick moist flavorful not too crumbly not sandy tasting like a lot of GF cookies can be. these would make such a awesome crust for a cheesecake or any other cookie crust for pies. there is only one problem for people not living in western WA They don't have an online store. You can e mail and ask but I don't think they ship cookies out of the area. heres the linky http://www.wowbaking.com/ for all you guys living in seattle. The company has a factory in fremont. on Fremont avenue.. that would be a fun place to tour... samples at the end hehehehehehe

I've got to go try those....

I've had good Gluten Free peanut butter cookies, but every chocolate chip cookie I've tried was so dense and nasty.

Thank you for this....

I'm in the Seattle area too..... Cool

If you get Pamela's Products baking and pancake mix, and make the chocolate chip recipe on the bag, they are delicious!

i buy them at central market in Shoreline. Its quite a ways to go but they have such an expansive section of wheat free flours. i get my wheat free flours for 49 cents for 12 ounces. tapioca flour, potato starch and rice flour. they're cheaper than a lot of places.

Mother earth natural foods also has a lot of cheap GF flour 60 cents a lb for white rice flour and 90 cents a lb for brown rice flour. I believe their tapioca and potato starch flour is around 45 cents a lb. They are located in Renton Wa. I just discovered this the other day.

Where is Mother Earth in Renton? I get mine at Minkler's Green Earth in Renton. Are you talking about that place?

You might want to check out the Ranch Market in the great wall shopping mall. They have a whole aisle for GF flour. Their rice flour is almost always on sale for 3 # for a dollar.

Wow. Yea.˙. that's the place I was talking about. I'm sorry. For some reason I had mother earth in my mind.

Sounds great. I haven't been to the ranch market. I'll have to check it out.. I wonder if metro stops down there? When I moved out here 3 yrs ago I decided not to get a car... the expenses and such. Metro has excellent service out here as well.. cheaper too.

Thanks for the tip.
