Hmmm. I would be carefull about them thar fries. They are not listed as GF in the Canadian GF menue from their site. If she hasn't been stung yet it may only be a matter of time until she is.

If you look under their section that says food allergys on their web site they have a list of all the food allergys. For the fries it doesnt say they have wheat, just that they can be cooked in the same oil as other things with wheat.I checked the wendys that we go to, they have a dedicated frier for their fries.

Well that's good to know. I assumed that they were coated or seasoned and had to be avoided. I will check out my local Wendys and see if they have a dedicated frier as well.

I'm new at learning GF foods but this site has helped me tremendously. I didn't know the Wendy's Southwestern salad was GF so that's what I'll get from now on. I also like Carl Jr's low carb six dollar burger. It's wrapped in a lettace leaf and I don't have problems with it.

That's really great about Wendy's!

Now maybe when dh and I take that trip we're planning on in late summer/early fall we can eat at outback and wendys! That will make eating out alot easier.

(Especially if I actually remember to make bread to take in with us! LOL!)

It's really not too easy to eat GF and Vegetarian at Wendy's, all of their salads, except the side salad come with meat of some sort. And the only safe potatoe is the plain one in our area. Are the Frosty's GF???

I love to buy the $1 chili and the sour cream potatoe. Put the chili and sour cream on the tater and you have the best $2 meal ever. Chili on the salad is good too.

Since we are in the process of moving our business, we need quick, filling GF meals. The last 2 days we have gotten different things from Wendy's off of the menu from this thread. NOBODY is sick!!! It is SO awesome to be able to order a salad and not have them leave off certain stuff! The manager filled our order today and I thanked her profusely for all the help to keep our stuff from CC. She was so nice and accomodating and gave us lots of free stuff.

I'm glad there is a place we know is safe when we are traveling.

And I asked about a dedicated fryer and they have a dedicated fryer at ours for their fries. I recommend if you eat at Wendy's to ask because i'm hearing a lot of different Wendy's have dedicated fryers.

My CD 9-year-old was SO excited to be able to order a bunless bacon cheeseburger!

Now the wendy's allergins menu only checks for WHEAT- not other sources of gluton. So although the food (example: salad dressings) say wheat free does anyone know if there are other sources of gluton like Modified Starch?
