I just quit my job!

Yes, don't worry--I have something else lined up!!!
My last day at McGraw-Hill will be May 23rd, 2 weeks exactly from today.
I start a new job on May 30th, right after Memorial Day weekend.

I like my current job and I truly enjoy working with my colleagues, but I can't stand working in NYC. I needed something back here in NJ. Additionally, I needed something that paid better, as I have a 3 BR, 2 BA house to maintain on my own...

Starting at the end of the month, I will be a Senior Copy Writer for a company that does marketing for Merck. I'm pretty excited!

So, I just had to share my life-changing event for the day.

Yes, it's Merck, the drug company. I won't be working directly for Merck, but I will be working directly with them.

It was so touching today, as I was telling my colleagues that I was leaving, they were all so sad and asked me what was going to happen this coming Halloween. I'm the unofficial in-house decorator, so they were bummed. Maybe I missed my calling...LOL!

Os--if I got paid to decorate, they'd be in trouble! I'd have the place all decked out 24/7! Tee-hee! I just took down my Cinco de Mayo decorations on Monday, and now there really aren't any good holidays for a while!

Kathie--thanks so much for the compliments on my photo! It's funny--all of those pictures have been taken by the same photographer. The guy that sits on the other side of the wall from me is a photographer on the side, so we did three different photo shoots here in the city.
