how soon after eating gluten is it average to start feeling pain? I am trying to figure out what i may have eaten and do not know if you react in hours or days form ingesting gluten

u will know in a couple of hrs Or even the next day if u have eaten u will feel so aweful. It takes a while for u to start felling better depending on how much damage was done

I know anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours later. My stomach starts churning and hurting and I know i'm in trouble. From there we all know where it goes Shocked

My daughter got a hold of an cheerio and six hours later she is in pain and has small fever this seems to be her pattern..is a small fever norma? she is uncomfortable and in pain for the next 24 hours just think from one small cheerio...I watch every move and she still manages to sneek someones food...thanks Crying or Very sad

Hi Katarah,

Fever is not common from what I've seen from others...but I don't know I was curled up on the living room floor shivering and shaking with a fever before I knew what was going on.

I cant imagine how hard it would be to have to get a child thru this...I had a hard enough time with myself (I was 40 at the time) LOL!!!

I have said it before ... Check your diary. a lot of celiacs are lactose intolerant also, and that can catch up to you in minutes.
