We all know this bought from the store is a BIG nono, but my mom loves the stuff so I tried to find something close
Ingredients:
Hamburg
Onion Salt
Garlic Salt
GF garlic spaghetti sauce (I use seeds of change)
Rice or Pasta
Parmesan Cheese
Prep:
Put hamburg in a frying pan, yep just throw the whole slab in there and break it up as you are cooking it
while browning hamburg right aster I start to break it up I sprinkle it with salt/pepper/garlic and onion salts this part is to taste I usually use very little onion and lots or garlic
After Hamburg is brown I add the whole jar of sauce, cover and let simmer on low.
While hamburg/sauce is simmering I ten make up either rice or pasta, this is up to you! The pasta comes out more like a lasagna taste. If you use rice, I use white minute rice or risotto.
After the pasta/rice is done I take a bowl and mix the 2 together then mix in some parmesan cheese to taste.
note: On occasion I have replaced the tomato sauce with tomato paste and the garlic/onion salts with taco seasoning and then served with cheddar cheese.
It's great for kids! And if you are lactose intolerant this is easy to modify, just leave out the cheese! |
