Ok everyone, I realize I'm really reaching here, but I'm almost certain I have heard SOMEWHERE! that you can take another food maybe soy and make something similar to popcorn, again, I could be way off by thinking soy, but I know I heard something could sub!

Could you all please help me come up with a GF/CF and corn free replacement for popcorn. There has to be something, I'm willing to try almost anything, this poor kid is really hopeful. Please help!

Hmmm, Google isn't helping. Good luck with that, I've never heard of subbing something for popcorn!

Ooo, how about popcorn-flavored jelly beans? They do exist. Smile

These would be great, however, I can hardly read the ingredients, but it looks like there is corn syrup listed. If so, that's a no no for him due to the corn.

I think we're on the right track tho.. thank you for trying, if anyone else has any ideas.. please list them, I'm desperate!!

What about puffed rice cereal? You could munch on it as a "dry" snack - it obviously won't taste like popcorn, but it would have a similar mouth feel. Maybe experiment with salt/DF butter or lemon/salt (my favorite on popcorn) or a fake cheddar cheese powder to help make it more "authentic"?

Hey, I was out at some Asian Markets today and I saw something that might work. I know its not exactly the same but I thought of you when I saw it. It is these puffy rice discs that have sugar on them...it might be something to snack on as a replacement for popcorn. Just a thought...

I have special ordered a product from a internet company called naturally gluten free called "MIGHTY MO MUNCHIES". They are a Soy Nut Snacks thats close to popcorn (I like the original flavor). It is not a product that they have listed on thier site, but maybe if enough people requested it they would carry it? They sell it for around $5.00, and it usually takes about 7-10 days to get in. I have included the ingrediants below. Best of luck in your search.

Ingredients: certified organically grown soybeans, sea salt, bicarbonate
