Oh.. I hear ya!! If it wasn't for my hips, I'd be in a 6 for sure!!! You know, my whole life I was told I have "good child bearing hips" The funny thing is, both of my kids had to be c-sections! one after 42 hours of labor.
The only thing these hips have come in handy for is shutting car doors when my hands are too full of kids and groceries! _________________ Kristie M.

I'm with you. When I was a cancer patient and weighed only 85 pounds, I was still a size 5 in jeans. Now at 135 I am in a 10/12. No matter how much I exercise.
Those child bearing hips will serve you well if you ever decide to have kids, though. I never had to push more than 3 times in any of my 3 deliveries. _________________ -Colleen

Not to scare of Os or anyone planning on having kids, but I wouldn't be so sure of that theory. I wanted so badly to have my children natural. See previous post... my hips failed me miserably! _________________ Kristie M.

LOL, I keep getting told about "child-bearing hips" as well. I'm with Kristie; the most they're ever used for is shutting doors (sometimes accompanied by "The power of the butt compels you!").
One of the ladies I work with just had a daughter. The entire process, from water breaking to birth, only took an hour or two. We joke that she sneezed and the baby fell out. And she's pretty slender. So I don't think hips play that big of a roll in childbirth. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

I can relate and actually I was hoping to find a topic like this on here!! I was diagnosed in January of this year (2007) and I weighed 159 lbs. which is fine with me at the time because I was VERY unhealthy skinny growing up, I weighed 110 lbs. thorough out my life until I had my 2nd kid at 23 years old.
I went back to my doctor to see how things were going on my new "diet" in March and I weighed 155 lbs. and he told me that I could benefit from losing more weight because I also have cholesterol problems. Well, last week I weighed myself again and I lost MORE weight and I now weigh 145 lbs.
So, like I said my TOTAL weight loss is about 20 lbs in 5 months. When is is a problem? _________________ Nikki |

I wouldn't worry about it until you drop below your ideal weight. _________________ Kristie M.
