We went to the Celiac Screening at U of Chicago and I was very concerned about eating with my family (far from home so eating out was a necessity...except for me who at trail mix!). The University strongly encouraged me to eat at the Weber Grill in the Schaumburg area. They said they had been working intently with them to provide safe gluten free dining and were very confident I would be safe. I was so impressed with there attention to detail! I got very nervous after ordering and almost cancelled my order. The waiter came over and showed me the process. Everyone at the restaurant supposedly had been informed about CD. They had a green sheet that all gf orders needed to be written on seperately. The kitchen manager had to sign off on the item before prep and the restaurant manager had to sign off before the order was brought to the table. The manager also had Celiac! I asked if they were the only location to provide that much concern over a GF menu, and they told me all Weber Grills would be trained to act in the same way.
I was really impressed. I don't know if that will actually happen, but I was excited to see so much attention to getting right at this location. _________________ Susan |

Here's the menu if anyone wants to look at it......

I didn't see any info on it, but they said several more of these restaurants are being built outside of Illinois. Indianapolis for sure! _________________ Susan |
