1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained (reserve some of the liquid in case it is too thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon tahini
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 slices canned jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon liquid from the can of jalapeno peppers
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
DIRECTIONS:
Combine everything in a food processor. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to blend. I had to add a few tablespoons of liquid from the beans bacause it was too thick. This recipe is spicy! Cut down on the peppers if you like a little less heat. _________________ -Colleen
