1 Loaf bread--Kinnikinnick works well. Soak in water overnight. Squeeze out excess water and place in large bowl. Add pinch of salt, 1/2 stick of melted butter or oleo, 2 beaten eggs, 1 1/2 C light brown sugar, 1 T vanilla, 1C milk, 1 T baking powder, 1/2 jar of maracchino cherries, halved and 1/2 of the juice, 1 C chopped nuts, 1 C raisens. Mix well. Bake in greased loaf pans for 1 hour (or until toothpick comes out clean) in a preheated 375* oven. One loaf of bread yields 2 loaves of bread pudding. You will have a heavy, moist, fruitcake kind of thing. Slice and serve with a topping or on it's own. P.S. It tastes MUCH better than it looks.
