Another indicator just popped up today: extra space between the big toe and the second toe. I can see why they don't recommend these tests to some parents. Confused

I'm sorry to hear the news about extra space between the toes. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing more than an extra space between the toes.

FWIW, my brother who wears a size 14.5 shoe has a huge gap between the toes in question. I wonder if the gap was there when he was a baby. It's so amazing the things that can be detected so early on. By the way he doesn't ahve Down's Syndrome.

Yeah, I guess my grandpa had the same thing (and didn't have Downs). It's amazing how they can pick up on all this stuff.

Hey Os,

How are they doing? I was doing the math before and (if I'm correct), she is due in July?
How is everything progressing?

Actually she's due in early August, but close enough. Smile Besides worrying about the tests she's doing pretty well. My brother's almost done renovating the kitchen and I'm almost done helping with the nursery (need to get my butt over there and finish painting that moon). So when all that's done I'm sure they'll feel much better. She has one more major scan in mid June. If they find any "hard" indicators of Downs then she goes in every other week until the kid's born for scans.

Thanks for keeping them in your thoughts guys! Smile

We are in Baby Alert Status Orange! The keys are in the launcher, and the case is off the button. She's starting to transition from Braxton Hicks contractions to regular contractions. The baby has dropped way down in her pelvis; so far down they couldn't get an accurate head measurement at her last ultrasound.

Dad and I are going on a "trial run" up to the hospital this weekend so we're not driving around blindly later.

LOL, I think having a cold and sneezing into a full face helmet would be a Bad Thing! OTOH, we're already on the way to the hospital...

At this point nobody's going anywhere. We're just waiting for her water to break. Then there'll be a mad dash.

It's a boy! Very Happy

No name yet. Born at 1pm. Weighs 7lbs 7oz, head full of wavy brown hair, and eats like a horse. Doesn't like it when the docs were messing with him, but otherwise a pretty quiet kid. Mom and baby are both fine.

Thanks again for the support everybody! I'll post a picture once I get some better ones...
