Congratulations, Aunt-strich! You are killing me with the suspense - does the baby have downs syndrome? I am thinking not, since you said he was healthy? Either way, I'm sure he is a loveable little guy. Waiting patiently for the pictures. _________________ -Colleen

Os, I'm so glad to hear mom and baby are doing well. I'm sorry to hear he eats like a horse and not an ostrich - it must be horse genes on his mom's side.
Enough silliness!
Blessings all around  |

Awww, thanks guys! I think I'm going to like being the cool aunt.
Sorry to keep everybody in suspense. It's been a crazy weekend. SIL wasn't doing so hot until they gave her the epidural. Then things were much better.
There's no signs of Downs! Huzzah! The only thing they've had to do is fix his tongue. Apparently he was "tongue tied", which means the tendon that holds your tongue to your mouth is shorter than normal. They snipped it and now everything's good. Mom and dad should be coming home tomorrow afternoon after they finally figure out a name.
Little stinker didn't like posing for pictures. This was the best I could do. The wet stuff around his eyes are just antibiotic eye drops. The chick in the white shirt is me.
OK, off to a wedding reception. Thanks again guys! _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

They have a really cool picture of him doing the "call me!" sign. I'll see if I can get a copy of that.
Oh yeah, this little guy's going to be loved so much he'll burst! We were joking we could show his first girlfriend some of these pictures later on.  _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={
