That's good news!! We can do the same in the states.
I've never kept track before because it' be a pain (for me). Not only track it all, but then figure out what the "incremental cost" is <yuck>.
But I might do it this year just for grins. _________________ Al

Al in my state they let u claim gluten free foods on ur taxes. I made out pretty good this tax season I think that I got about $400.00 back
it is worth it to start saving your reciepts. my sister in law is a CPA who has her own business & does my taxes. just my self I got back $5,000.00 and some back this year. and I have been out of work since DEC of 2004 so it is really worth it |

|
|
My spouse and some of our children have celiac. I understand other taxpayers in canada with celiac's disease are receiving the Disablity Tax Credit (DTC), which provides for significant tax savings, which helps to offset the extra cost of GF foods. The DTC is normally even better to claim than the differnence in GF vs. regular food amounts via the Medical / Health claim line.
Does anyone else know of others with celiac that are recieving the Disability tax credit in Canada? It looks like it has been disallowed from 2004 onwards, but we are aware that other taxpayers rec'd it for the 2004 year.
Thanks, |
