Upper GI and lower bowel series?

I have some celiac-suggestive symptoms, but had blood-test results that did not suggest gluten intolerance or celiac. I am now supposed to have an upper GI with lower bowel series test. Does anyone know what this involves or what it is supposed to tell you? It's with a radiologist if that helps... Thanks so much!
