Does anyone else have extra sore muscles for several days after you exercise? Do they seem to ache and hurt more than normal?

I've been GF since March, about 1 1/2 months ago did a gluten challenge and only lasted 5-6 days before I couldn't take it anymore! I still get some symptoms a little bit once in awhile... but not bad. I'm suspecting hidden gluten in something! I'm still fairly new at this!!

Hi Rachel,

I'm trying to think back 4 years ago...

I don't remember anything specific. I do remember feeling like I was hit by truck a lot - kind of a soreness over all, but not related to exercise.

I'm guessing you feel that you're not over doing it and this pain is out of the ordinary?

Keep at it, you'll get the hang of it!!

This might be a stupid question, but are you sure you're not straining your body? If you're still trying to heal your insides you shouldn't be pushing your outsides too hard. Wink

Actually, I've been noticing less soreness, but I have a thyroid issue as well that my sports medicine doc thought might be causing my calves to be really sore/stiff/sensitive. I get stiff for a day or so after a hard workout, but it doesn't last like it used to.

I honestly don't feel like I'm straining my body. I've always been a very active person and worked out a lot... exception of the last year when this all started! So, I've been trying to do it gradually. But, if I think I may have been getting hidden gluten then that may explain why I still feel like my muscles have still be getting more sore they I fell like they should.

It sounds like it could very well be the start of Fibromyalgia. I pray not!
I have been in one of the worst flares I have ever had for the last month. Today Praise God seems to be a turning point for the better. If it had gotten just a little bit worse, I am sure I would have been in the hospital.

Try mixing 1/2 tsp of baking soda in 4 ounces of club soda. Add 1 Tbl. of lemon juice and after stirring drink it.

If it relieves the soreness any, I would start reading up on fibro.
