I hated Napolean Dynamite when I first saw it.... then the dumb humor grew on me.

I give my vote for From Dust Till Dawn! Hated it!

Eragon. Hands down. But i think that had something to do with the fact that i had already read the book. It didn't go with the book at ALL. AT ALL Napolean Dymamyte is a close second tho...

I was thinking about movies today when I was on this site and I remembered one of the worst movies I've seen but I can't remember what it was called.... it's the one with Mariah Carry(sp?) in it several years ago. Ugh! It was painful having to sit through it!

Ah, finally someone that agrees with me about that movie! I read both books and the 1st movie was just awful compared to the book. I don't think the books are the greatest either but hey I'll still read the 3rd book to end the trilogy. I did like the dragon in the movie but not it's voice and that's about all I liked.

I seem to have forgotten all the movies I have hated over the years. I haven't seen most of the one mentioned but Ishtar definitely was bad.

All dragon movies < Dragonheart

(Though the book was better than the movie IMHO.)

Cliffhanger - Stallone running in the arctic (and falling in & out of water) in a muscle t. Ok, make that any Stallone movie.

Chicago, if you want movies that were "acclaimed", and The English Patient.

These days I watch romantic comedies and kids movies...

Does it count if you thought the movie was horrible, so you laughed at its horribleness, which gives the movie some redeeming quality?

Cause I have a whole list of those.

Just thinking of those two movies causes me pain. I thought The English Patient would never end and I forced myself to fall asleep to get through it and Chicago.

Someone else mentioned Nell...eggads that too was brutal!

I can't read this thread anymore.

Mr Holland's Opus was another movie that was acclaimed, but I thought was totally horid. I wasted 2 hours of my life for THAT???

Second The English Patient. I tried to watch it, but about 15 minutes in I had to bail. I needed whatever brain cells I had left.

I'm not a big fan of Mr. Holland's Opus, but the soundtrack is awesome. Used to work out to it all the time.

Woot! Off in a bit to go pick up 300 and Hot Fuzz! Very Happy I don't want to hear about how inaccurate 300 is. It's got incredible eye candy (CGI and otherwise Wink ), and it got me interested in the true story of the battle. Works for me.

Dragons ROCK. I am a complete dragon freak. though, most of the movies with dragons in them are pretty bad.... the books are awesome.
