I made the inexplicable choice to watch Xanadu last night. Now I know why I haven't seen it since 1980. Really bad.

I think we've talked about what our favorite movies are, but what is the worst one you have ever seen? Xanadu is right up there for me, but I would also throw tomatoes at the Marrying Man and (I know people love this one, but I hated it) The Big Chill.

Any gems to add?

One of the worst movies I ever paid to see was the movie with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. They played witches who were sisters. I couldn't stand to sit and watch it so I left the movie 1/2 hour into it.

I can't remember the name of the movie (if you can even call it that), but the worst one I paid to see was one with Matthew Perry and Chris Farley...I can't remember the name...hang on...checking IMDB...

Ah, that's it: Almost Heroes

How about, Almost Asked For My Money Back? Razz

TEC, was the one you were talking about called Practical Magic?

Yep, it was Practical Magic. I'm not familiar with the Farley/Perry movie you mentioned...probably a good thing!

House of 1000 Corpses. Rob Zombie made this really really really bad movie a few years back. This is the only time I walked out of a movie saying "there's an hour of my life I will NEVER get back..." I'm not into slasher/horror/stalker films, but my boy friend at the time really wanted to see it. I figured how bad can it be?? Man - I wish I had stayed home! (And to top it all off - guess who paid...)

Groundhog Day.

Any of you who like it can (repeatedly) bite my large, feathery butt. Laughing

All butt-biting aside, I love that movie. It's on my top 10 favorites list. Different strokes for different folks! Very Happy

I'm probably one of the few people on this planet that really enjoyed Constantine. So

The worst movie I've ever seen at a theater was Amadeus. I'd heard how good it was supposed to be and how it was up for all kinds of Academy Awards... that should have been my first warning bell!

We once rented From Dusk til Dawn -- after all it had George Clooney in it, should be good right?? Oh No! That one was so bad it was comical!

Maybe not THE worst, but the one that comes to mind: Napolean Dynamite.
Yes, I know, EVeryone loves this movie, but DH and I just didn't get it. I'm too old, I guess! Crying or Very sad

Add me to the "don't get it column" for that one. I thought that movie sucked, but everyone but me seemed to like it.

Dynamite was funny to me. It seemed to capture every imaginable angle of teen geekiness/awkwardness possible.

"Life as a house" is one of the worst I have ever seen. NEVER ever rent it!!!!
Then there's also...
"In good company". It inhaled with such great velocity!
