Hello! I am writing an article and would love a quote or two. If you use solar, wind, or water based energy as opposed to electric, I'd love to 'talk'... Please let me know. Thanks! _________________ Gluten-free, vegan blog: Whisking & Writing

None of the above but we do make our own Veggie fuel for our diesel trucks from recycled vegetable oil. _________________ CD by Biopsy 3/25/88 |

We have a solar hot water system. Installed it a year ago last April, mostly because we get out hot water off our oil furnace and it just pissed me off to hear the furnace come on in the summer. _________________ Most people don't know there are angels whose only job is to make sure you don't fall asleep and miss your life! |

Probably not...unless you're fueling it with burrito gas _________________ Al

OK, I'll go back to a NGF diet. Then you'll really see some "gas mileage".  _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

We pay extra to our utility co. to use wind generated power. Without having a turbine in the backyard, it is one way to support and use alternative energy. We don't buy enough to subsidize our entire electricity usage, but are working towards it. _________________ Nance

If it counts, my DH and I opted in for the plan to use bio-energy here in Germany.. (Wind mills, water mills, etc - not coal or wood)...
We have discussed using solar energy, but we would have to have some special permission to add panels to the apartment or anything. Likely would have to wait until we had our own place, but from what we both have heard, if we did this, and prove how much energy we save, we could get some kind of kickback from the government. _________________

I've already submitted the article. And for the article, it was just natural sources like wind (turbines), and solar panels and that sort of thing. Thanks for all of the input. _________________ Gluten-free, vegan blog: Whisking & Writing
