Fun fact: the video game from the beginning is a real game on a real system. Smile

I had mixed feelings about the book. It did some things I loved (like the Dread Pirate Roberts actually slapping Buttercup), and some things I didn't like.

BTW
Good thing this thread is in the OT section. It started out about Cristopher Walken (because we got so seriously OT in the dining out thread) and morphed into Princess Bride. We apparently can't even stay on-topic in the off-topic!!

Think we should do a poll on the ADD/ADHD aspect of celiac among this group? Laughing

Hehe!
I never, ever thought I had that, but someone pointed out with the number of things I like doing, it's a classic sign of ADD. That's one thing I refuse to worry about, though, because it seems to be working for me. (I'm never bored!)
Good heavens, Christopher Walken, to Princess Bride, to ADD/ADHD? How'd that happen?

Well, I'm sure I'm ADD. Constantly side-tracked, have a hard time finishing things because something more interesting comes along. I always joke that I wish I were ADHD so that I could get nothing accomplished faster!

You wouldn't dare to say you're bored even if you really are!!! Whenever my kids complained of being bored, I found a cure for them real quick! Right, Toothpaste?

Holy Cow Torrey...you change jobs like underwear! Laughing

Maybe you can change the ADHD drug mfg from the inside! Kids don't need more ADHD drugs - they need less gluten/casein/offending foods [better diet]... Somehow, I don't think you'll get very far.

Good luck!!

Yeah, I know...
Embarassed
But, after teaching kindergarten and having 2 diagnosed AD/HD students, I totally agree--kids absolutely don't need more drugs...
Oh, and FYI, a woman that I work with was experiencing horrible headaches and gastro problems...she's now off gluten and feeling a thousand times better...
So, Al, yes, I think a proper diet speaks volumes! More often than not, problems can be alleviated better through a dietary change than they can with any sort of drug or medication!
I mean, heck, I don't even pop an Advil unless I'm on my deathbed! Wink

I was in my favourite kitchen shop on Saturday, and hadn't seen the owner in months . . . we got to chatting, and she told me how her arthritis has gotten so bad she was nearly crippled. She went GF (no dx or anything, but just reading on her own and decided to try it) , and presto, cured. A couple of swollen knuckles, and that's it.

(Got the new egg cup and spoon at the shop! Love it!)

For all you CW fans...he's hosting Saturday Night Live this week. I normally don't watch it, but I'll have to try to catch it. Very Happy

As creepy as i find Christopher Walken, you've got to admit he's got some pretty good moves in the film clip for "Weapon Of Choice"(Cant remember the artist sorry!)...Apparently he is a trained dancer too!
