I'm always looking at those house-swap sites online . . . It can be a very good experience. If you don't know much about it, you might want to read up on it, but the basic idea is that you continue paying mortgage and bills at your house, the person/family you swap with does as well of course, and since you'd be buying your food at home anyway, the only extra expense is transport. You can even agree what to swap (cars? Bicycles? Keep each others pets alive?) and what not to.

Anyway, we've always wanted to try it, but since we have a GF home, and would not want it contaminated, nor wish to try to survive in a non-GF home, it seems impossible.

Does anyone know of any GF house-swap organisations? (If not, it could be a good idea for a potential business!) Most of those places charge an annual fee and then you have access to the register. After choosing a place, you make contact and sort the details yourself.

(Or you could even just do your own informally through the forum, I suppose . . . wouldn't be a bad idea, really! I'm guessing lots of have known each other for years, and would completely trust each other.)

Interesting question! I don't think I've heard of anything like that, at least around here. I'm looking forward to what people say. Smile

Erm, both, but I was thinking Nebraska. Your options in NE are:

- Swapping corn for soybeans
- Swapping soybeans for corn

Interesting, but if someone's sensitive enough to need a completely GF household then I'd NOT trust someone else in the kitchen.

What if someone brings home a leftover sandwich and reheats in the toaster?

What if they buy something that isn't really GF, but they think it is?

At this point weren't not just talking about potential theft or destroying personal items, we are talking about dangers to your health.
