I hope this is correct but anything over 30 is a red flag. I was over 200. When I went in for a follow up after working on the GF diet for 6 months I was down to 40 and I was chewed out saying that wasn't good enough and healing couldn't start until it was 25. I was pleased I was 40 but got very little encouragement. Hope this helps.

Wow! Shocked Over 200?!?! Now I don't feel so ... abnormal. My number was 96, and my understanding (which could be mistaken) was that below 20 was okay, and 20-30 was elevated, so obviously anything over that indicates a pretty definate and BIG problem. Again though, I could be wrong. But either way, whether it's 20 or 30, both numbers are still far below what most Celiacs see. Maybe someone with better knowledge will correct us on the numbers.
Oh, and about being chewed out: If you may be getting contaminated somehow, fix the problem and continue healing, but if you're doing everything you can, next time tell your doc he can chew you out again only after HE has gone completely GF for 6 months and not cheated. Very Happy Some people just take a bit longer than others and it's no ones fault (unless you know you're getting hidden gluten and aren't doing anything about it, of course Razz ).

Hi all! What "number" are you talking about, tissue transglutaminase Ab? After I was GF for about 6 weeks the dr. had the blood test done again and my number is ">207", and she say's that's better than it was at first!

Me again - if you guys are talking about anti-gliadin IGG and IGA, my report from the lab says the following: negative <20, weak positive 20-30, and strong positive >30. My numbers for both were in the mid-hundreds.
