Watercourse has a whole list of gluten free options. I've had their coconut sauced tofu, greek salad, and naked breakfast burrito with no problems. They're really cool about everything-all my allergies and jaw issues. Unfortunatley, their gluten free onion rings with dairy free ranch dressing still set my symptoms off- way off the chart. I don't know what's in them, but I leave bloated with a stomach ache. I tried them a couple times just to see, and it happened each time. Thankfully, the rest I've tried there is fabulous. And yes- they are vegetarian.
Outback steakhouse? Hmm.. Yum!
And this sounds fabulous!!!- http://www.debysglutenfree.com/ I am sooo excited!!! I love English Muffins! You just made my day Al! Can you see me smilin'? Thank you!!! |

Deby's is a great place! Monica, the owner, has a heart of gold. Her family is a living testament to the GF lifestyle. Her daughter - Deby - had all sorts of neuro issues, developmental issues...they finally figured out that she had CD. When we talked to her last year when we stopped in, she said Deby was doing extremely well!
Glad your day was made Hehehee

Determining GF status of food by symptoms, is not a good idea. Even though you may not have outward reactions - it still can be causing damage. Silent Celiacs are an excellent example of this. _________________ Al

| I see what you're saying Al. Watercourse is designed for people with lots of allergies. They really try to pay attention to it, and have tons of little symbols all over their menu marking what's gluten free, dairy free, etc. But I see what you are saying- I'll have to be more careful and pay attention to that. |

| I ate at Beau Jo's a couple of weeks ago and was sooooo sick afterwards. GI symptoms worse than I've ever had since going GF a couple of months ago. I ordered one of their GF pizzas. It must have had some serious CC issues. |

Oh Voix, I got sooooo sick after eating Luc's pizza in Longmont. I am glad they were nice to you, because they were so nasty to me. There facility is so small, and they make everything in the same area, with the same equipment, and even though they say they clean it, they can't clean it well enough to make it safe for Celiacs (maybe for someone that avoids gluten for a fad diet reason). I asked them about it and they were so offended that I would even ask. I will never go back there again!
And speaking of other places to go eat, I really like Outback and PF Changs. Red Robin and Chilis also have gluten-free menus. The Red Robin in Longmont has a dedicated fryer so their french fries are gluten-free! They supported the Boulder County Celiacs and provided the main food for the summer picnic this year. It was GREAT!
Lil Bit's Mummy- I have noticed that the Deby's crust at the Boulder Beau Jo's is BAD, but is is REALLY GOOD at the Arvada Beau Jo's.....I don't know what they do differently, but it is night and day! If you get a chance, try the Beau Jo's in Arvada, I think you will like it. We had it for dinner tonight and it was fantastic! |

ColoChick, I wish I could try a different BeauJo's, but we were just visiting Denver after moving to Ohio last year. We were at the one at Colorado and Yale in Denver. |
