Hi all. I am new here...had an EGD yesterday and am waiting for my results.

I have some symptoms but not all...so I am not sure what is wrong with me. I just had a baby 4 months ago and I have had digestive problems since.

This site is very informative!

Hi Lolah,

Welcome to the board! This started after your pregnancy, eh? Hmmm, it just so happens that pregnancy can set your body off on a wild goose case. Illness, infection, surgery, some say stress can also trigger it.

I hope you get the answers that you're looking for!! It's not fun being in "no (wo)mans land" Sad

Did they do a celiac panel first or did they go straight to the scope?

Please keep us update on your results. In the mean time, don't be afraid to ask questions!!

Hi Al,

The Dr. went straight for the scope...and I was glad. Nervous, but glad. They also took a biopsy to test for bacteria that causes ulcers.

I was tested for gallbladder issues first and given Prevacid (which didn't work) and they all came back normal.

Hi Lolah,

This is a great board, very knowledgeble people here and friendly. That is good to hear that the Dr. went straight for the scope. Better than beating around the bush if they already have a feeling of what it may be?

Best of luck with everything.

Welcome to the board, Lolah!

Did they run blood work too or just the scope? (I was diagnosed with both...)

This is a great place to find information and get support. Especially once the "Thank God they figured out what is wrong!!" phase is over and the new GF life starts.

Best of luck to you!!

PS - congrats on the new baby too!! Smile
