Seriously, I think the Jalapeno cheetos have crack in them. I cannot stop eating them once I open a bag. Safeway has had them on sale for $1/bag this week, and I have bought way too many. Hey, I bet they keep for a long time!

Perhaps you need to seek professional help. Don't make us call A&E TV. We'll do it cuz we luv ya...it hurts us more than it hurts you...you'll poke an eye out...and your face will stay that way some day...

Have you ever watched that show? I haven't actually made it through a whole episode because it is so heartbreaking. My SIL is in rehab right now for alcohol - her 4th stay in a year. Don't think I will be going into Cheeto rehab soon, but you might see me on that Half Ton Dad show eventually, though.

If being hooked on crack laden Jalapeno Cheetos is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Just want to emphasize to everyone that the regular red-bag Nacho Cheese Doritos AREN'T on that list. As a guy with Addison's I value my salty snacks perhaps more than most, and I was glad to see that most of my favorites are fine, but that was a notable omission.

Even medicated you crave salty snacks? My salt cravings went away almost as soon as I started steroids. I haven't even heard a 'hey, this is way too salty' in a few years now. Wow, 4 years...time flies!

My MD suggested that I have an 8oz glass of Gatorade everyday. Bet that keeps me in check.

I certainly don't get cravings like I did when I was getting sick and was emptying 5-6 salt packets on every bag of McD's french fries, but 21 years later a little salt on rough mornings continues to be a good thing.

I've heard of Addisonians who start every day with a swig of pickle juice... a few Cheetos is nothing in that context. Smile

I used to drink pickle juice and olive brine, but haven't had the need for that since I started meds. Are you on fludricort or florinef?

"CHEETOS® Natural White Cheddar Puffs Cheese Flavored Snacks " My 7yo will be so happy to know this!

And what is it with the pickle juice and olive brine? I like those things and have also simply drank them in my lifetime. the salt? and what do "fludricort or florinef" have to do with that?

The Natural Cheetos have been failing us lately and I think we have three bags here! We are pretty sure my ds has been glutened from them. Oddly enough, on our recent road trip, he had a small bag of regular cheetos and no tummy ache. So I toss the naturals to the birds and chalk it up to a bad run at the frito-lay factory?

That's the link alright. and at the bottom of the page, their CYA statement:
"The above products do not contain gluten; however, they are produced on the same line as our products that do contain gluten. Although the lines are washed between batches, a slight residue may remain on the lines. Individuals who are extremely sensitive may be affected. "

I think my son is pretty sensitive.
